Aloha mai kākou

  • >>Both Book and Practice

“Every single day, somewhere in the world, Aloha comes to life. As it lives and breathes within us, it defines the epitome of sincere, gracious, and intuitively perfect customer service given from one person to another.”

This genuine connection is the Aloha Spirit Hawai‘i is known for.

Now imagine if the customer is an employee, and if the customer service provider is their manager, one who continually shares his or her aloha spirit in the coaching and mentorship they offer. This possibility, this liberating reinvention, is one that managers everywhere can and must believe in, demonstrate and sustain if we are to truly thrive at work. Managing with Aloha helps managers and leaders do just that; grow in their belief and intention, and make worthwhile, meaningful work our reality.

Managing with Aloha arrives at ChangeThis.com

Managing with Aloha: Yes! You can too!

This was the title I decided to give to the manifesto I wrote for ChangeThis.com for no matter where you live and work, if you are a manager I believe that Managing with Aloha is for you. That is my mana‘o, my very deeply held belief and conviction; it is a belief I am very passionate about.

Why do I want to help you? Because you matter. Managers have a profound effect on the people and places they manage. And when workplaces are reinvented with the spirit of aloha incredible things can happen. Not just good things. Great things.

Thus I love that ChangeThis offers the manifesto absolutely free; all you need to do is download it, print if you prefer to read it on paper, and give it your attention. As they say on their site,

“ChangeThis is creating a new kind of media. A form of media that uses existing tools (like PDFs, blogs and the web) to challenge the way ideas are created and spread. We’re on a mission to spread important ideas and change minds.”

I believe that managing with Aloha is an important idea. I believe managing with Aloha can change the minds of managers and those they manage everywhere. Yes, I’m pretty bold and assertive when I make these statements, however I make them confidently, for deep in my heart, mind and soul I believe them to be true.

Will you give me a shot at changing your mind too?

Kūlia i ka nu‘u: strive for the summit. Understand that no matter how good you are right now (and you are) you can be better. You can reach higher.

Please visit ChangeThis.com and download my manifesto.
Then ‘Imi ola: live your best possible life in business today.

Mahalo nui loa,
Rosa
